Unleash Your Marketing Genius, Singapore

It was Friday morning, 23rd March 2007, the first day of Unleashed Your Marketing Genius (UYMG) seminar. Early in the morning I went there as it took me nearly an hour to travel from Yew Tee to Bugis. There it is, Parkview Square, a gigantic building, the venue for the event.

Well, the job for the first day was setting up the place. It wasn’t a hard job as they had already setup most of it.

Dscn0676

Later on we have our crew meeting. We were divided into groups and each group was assigned with a certain job. My job was to clean all the rubbish and to help out during peak hours such as distributing food, drinks and hand-outs.

Besides, I also had a change to take some videos on the second day. That was really a great experience for me. The bad thing is that I gotta stand for the whole day. That was terrible. I still can feel the pain for the next two days.

Dscn0759

Dscn0770

Those were very tiring days. I only slept 4 hours each day. For a lazy pig like me, 4 hours is extremely insufficient. Fortunately, the knowledge, the passion, the applause, the shouts, the screams, the joy and the excitement eat away all our tiredness.

.

I can not tell exactly what happened in those 4 days but the experience is life changing. I had a change to see things behind the scene. How each department does their job, How problems flow in and how they solve it and so much more. I learn so much, online and offline. Stephen over-delivers again. Here are some of the photos I’d like to share with you guys hope you enjoy them:

UYMG in Singapore

Hi readers,

.
First of all, I would like to express my excitement for being able to have some personal time with the world most reknown business optimizer and marketing genius, Stephen Pierce who is also my mentor and his wife Alicia in Hyatt Hotel, JB on Tuesday, 20th March 2007.
.
It was a preview for the "Unleash Your Marketing Genius" seminar which will be hold in Freely Business Centre, Parkview Square, Singapore on this 23rd - 26th March 2007.
.
I’m getting more and more excited and looking forward for this event. It’s a hand-on coaching by Stephen himself, Live! Which is a very rare opportunity.
.
I have made myself a volunteer for this event and expect to learn a lot from this 4 days seminar. I will make it, I should make it and I can make it!
.
Huh, just a short update from me tonight. I’ll be leaving to Singapore on tomorrow morning. Will have some meeting for volunteers.

Potato People

This morning, when I wanted to replant my potato plant, I saw a root buried in the ground. My curiousity leads me to pull the root out of the ground as I wanted to find out how deep it grew into the ground.

.
When I tried to pull it out, I found that the root actually grew deeper into the ground than I thought. After applying certain amount of strength, I manage to pull the whole thing out. I was surprised that it is a …

Dscn0583

POTATO. Yes … it’s a potato.
.
I never thought that the potato will grow. I just plant the potato plant as the source of food for my tortoise.

Here it is again:

Chinese New Year 2007

Actually I decided to write this blog before the Chinese New Year. However my laziness, busy and the hot whether are keeping me from writing it.

.

It’s good to be back to

Penang

, a beautiful island in the Northern part of Peninsular Malaysia. Not to forget the delicious local food such as Laksa, Fried Koay Teow, Hokkien Mee, Curry Mee, Pasembur, Ais Kacang, home cooking … etc. Not to forget Ba Kua also J … get sore throat at the second day of CNY. Yeah! Yes, you’ve got it right, that’s one of my target: Eat until sore-throat.

.

Besides eating, I’ve got a chance to drive different types of car too: Myvi, Civic, Smart Car and Harrier. Alphard?

   Dscn0084

Dscn0050

Not yet have the chance to drive. Ride only. The dark side of this is that I suddenly became a full-time unemployed driver. The money spend on petrol is killing me. As you know, people tend to travel more than usual before and during Chinese New Year for shopping, visiting, preparing … etc.

.

At the same time, I temporarily stayed in my cousin sister’s house. Wow! So big ar? Never mind lah. As long as I don’t have to do the clean up. Phew!

The Guess room and the attach bathroom:

The Living Room:

              Dscn0058

Complete with plasma TV and Astro.

Too Bad, I don’t watch TV unless really boring.

              Dscn0061

Not to forget the massage chair. This keeps me comfortable and ‘geli’ all the time.

.

The Dry and Wet kitchen:

    Dscn0059    Dscn0060

Err … here’s where I find the source of food. My tummy’s heaven but not limited to this place only. Hawker centre and restaurants too.

.

Well, back to Chinese New Year. On the Second day, I went to Butterworth with my parents to visit some relatives. Look at the traffic!

.

During the third day of CNY, we went to QueensBay Jusco for a movie: Twins Mission. Hey, it’s not easy to get the tickets ok!

Dscn0131

Oh my god, What a long queue! @#$%^&*(!

Dscn0145

We got the tickets finally! But I was the one who queue, ok

They ran away when I ask them to queue, ‘sob, sob’

.

After got the ticket, we went to Harvey Norman to shop for printer. We also have an opportunity to watch lion dance from shop to shop.

After movie, we went for a meal. Do you know how hard was it to get a meal in QueensBay Jusco, that day?

See this and you’ll know.

Dscn0142

We even have to stand and wait to get an empty table. This is just one of the restaurants.

Every restaurant is full during that day.

Time passes by so fast. The whether is terribly hot. Or else, I’ll have a wonderful holiday. In a twinkle of an eye, 2 weeks have past. Hey, it seems like I haven’t do anything meaningful in this holiday. No no. This is not the way I’m going to end my holiday. Thinking of holiday, how about being a tourist in

Penang

? That’s a great idea.

.

Immediately I ask Chia Ling and

Chih

Pei

, my dearest nieces to go out with me. “Where to go?” they ask. Anywhere but home. As we get in the car, the first thing came into my mind was sandy beaches. Yes! We go to Batu Feringghi beach then to

Gurney Drive
